Ampontan Compares Kor & Jpn Editorials on the Current Dispute

Ampontan has come up with another great post that compares how Japanese newspapers are editorializing the current Dokdo/Takeshima dispute with how Korean newspapers are doing it.

  1. Gerry,

Thank you, this is a great article.
Korean newspapers seem to be too emotional and Japanese newspapers to be too calm.

Actually, I seldom see the newspaper articles concerning Takeshima issue nowadays in Japan while we see some articles on Korean newspaper (online Japanese language versions) on the everyday basis.

  2. I always admire and also am very grateful Ampontan's effort to inform things in Japan to the world in English without any kind of strong biases, which we sometimes see in a major newspapers like NYT. And I'm also glad he introduced that there are many opinons on Takeshima issue among major media in Japan which I think is very important for democracy and I'm very proud of..

Though there are still many radical Koreans who never toralate other's having different opinon, especially on Takeshima/Dokdo issue, I did witnessed there are some Korean who think this is lefty's ajitation and they are using ordinary people's emotions here and there.

I got a feeling that Korean are changing bit by bit. I hope more Korean, who doubt their government's overreaction, will visit our site.
