What happens in Korea if you disagree with its Dokdo claim?

Today I clicked on a link that took me to the Dokdo Research Institute Web site where I decided to check out their Open Discussion Board. There I found a post HERE dated January 4, 2012. Here is the translation of that post:
The Usando shown on an old document is Jukdo??

The Bulletin Board of this person's blog says that Dokdo is Japanese territory. If you go in and look at it, he claims that the Usando shown on an old document is Jukdo. He shows various materials to support his claim. The material he uses is wrong, and his claim is wrong. I urge to you refute them.
If you click on the link to the offending blog, you now get a message from the blog provider, Naver, that reads as follows:
This is a Closed Blog. Access to this blog has been restricted by request of the Korea Communications Standards Commission.
Old Korean documents show Usando (于山島 - 우산도) to be Ulleungdo's neighboring island of Jukdo (竹島 - 죽도), which is only about 2 kilometers off Ulleungdo's east shore. However, Koreans generally claim that "Usando" was the old name for "Dokdo" (Liancourt Rocks). Apparently, in Korea, one is not allowed to disagree with the general Korean claim.

The Lesson: "Don't use a Korea-based internet service provider to create a blog refuting Korea's claim to 'Dokdo' because opposing opinions are apparently not allowed."

The following are the screenshots of the bulletin board post on the Dokdo Research Institute Web site and of the message from Naver saying the blog is closed.

  1. Gerry Bevers wrote on the main page of his "Dokdo-or-Takeshima" blog that "All views are welcome, and comments may be made in any language, but personal attacks, foul language, and comments dealing with unrelated issues will be unwelcome and may be deleted."

"NAVER" also has the right to block the blogs which didn't follow the related law by the request of Korea Communications Commission. Netizens can ask Korea Communications Commission for deliberation whether the specific blog has the contents against law.

What's your evidence this blog in question was blocked because it refuted Korea's claim to 'Dokdo'? It's misleading to say "opposing opinions are apparently not allowed." I'm sure what made the blog in question be banned was not the different opinions. It must have contained something against the law such as 'defamation of character'.

Reading your post, I feel you have severe prejudice against Korea or Korean people. Who can blame you? It's Korean people's fault.

However, there's one thing I like to say to you. The response or sentiment of Korean people on Dokdo issue can't be same as those of Japanese people. How different? Imagine the situation some people try to deprive you of your property saying you stole it.

  2. Is this guy for real? I highly doubt that you are purely interested in this topic for intellectual purposes. Do you even live in Texas?

  5. What are you doing with all these fake materials? I bet you must spent so much time creating these, but the truth of the history does not change as your intension. No matter how much fakes you create, the fact is that Dok Do is Korean island. Also, there is no such thing as Sea of Japan, but East Sea. The sea was never owned by Japan neither. I agree that Japan has been good at keeping diplomatic relationship with western countries even after World War II, but it doesn't mean that they get to keep the land that they forcefully annexed during the war. Rather, Japan should sincerely aologize to the world and all the people who were killed due to Japan's ego. Whether you are Japanese or not, I feel pity on you. Hope you get paid enough for doing this.
