Some New Gadgets Added to the Blog

I have added the following enhancements to the blog.

  1. A "Headlines" feature near the top of the blog that scrolls through headlines with the following keywords: Takeshima, Dokdo, 竹島, and 독도.
    .
  2. A "Search This Blog" feature at the top of the right column that allows keyword search on this blog.
    .
  3. A "Popular Post" feature was added in the right-hand column, just below the list of maps.
If anyone has any other suggests for improving the blog, please let me know.

I have been so busy with my son the past few months that I have not paid much attention to the blog, but I plan to be spending more time trying to improve the blog in the future.

  2. You're welcome, Chaamiey.

I want to try to organize things so that people can quickly find the maps and documents they are looking for.

  3. Hi, Gerry

Glad you guys are doing fine.

Could you change from "time" to "day/month/year" which appears at the end of comments, so that we don't need to write when the comments made.

As you may have noticed, recently, Yahoo!BBS disappeared since there were no comments for a few days. That made our blog only active place left for Japanese who are interested in Takeshima issue and can discuss actively. We really need to keep on this, Gerry.

  4. Thank you, Kaneganese.

That is too bad about the Yahoo! site. I do not understand why they would delete it so quickly.

Anyway, it is good to know that many of the people who were posting there are still posting here.

As for the date, does everyone want it Day/Month/Year? It seems like I changed it once before.

    How have you been doing?

  5. We've been through a hardest time in my life last year, but everything is settled now, thanks.

As for the time thing, we really need to change it since we have to put it manually like this ↓

    I always forget it, though.

Anyway, the blog seems much better now. The news flash contains Japanese news as well and it looks fresh. And I was surprised to know that my Japanese Index is the most popular post.

  6. Kaneganese,

So that means you want it Year/Month/Day, not Day/Month/Year?

  7. Gerry,

I think Day/Month/Year is best for this blog. I used Year/Month/Day simply because it is Japanese habit/custom. How dose Korean write?

  8. Kaneganese,

I chose a Day/Month/Year format, but the year is only the two number version. There was no 4-number year version, except for the Mon/Day/Year version.

    Koreans usually write Year/Month/Day.

  9. Thanks, Gerry

Two number'll do and it looks so good. I really appreciate it.
