What does this 1855 Jpn map of Oki say?
The following is an 1855 Japanese map of Oki Island (第四十八 隠岐島):
Below is a piece of the above map. Could someone please tell me what it says?
According to the Takeshima Research Group's final report, it says that 「松島・竹島ハ亥子ノ間ニ当ル」, meaning that "Matsushima and Takeshima locates to the Northwest By North to Dougo(島後, main island of Oki)", or "Matsushima and Takeshima locates between the North West and North to Dougo".
