Ulleungdo had been called as Takeshima, but MOFA finally concluded Matsushima was Ulleungdo, same island. That was the reason most Japanese officials started to use one island three names(Takeshima/Matsushima/Ulleungdo) to avoid confusion. It probablely affected Korean government's recognition and Kojong must have referred those islands names from Japanese documents and maps.Kaneganesehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533339719864245857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26948035.post-33047789658246737462009-02-18T18:59:00.000+09:002009-02-18T18:59:00.000+09:00Kaneganese;Please change the red colour or emphasi...Kaneganese;
Please change the red colour or emphasis the phrase as follows;
This is most important phrase on 竹島考証 , recognization by Mofa and so on,after Amagi's survey on 1880.

After the Kitazawa's conclusion of 竹島考証,Mofa considered it is one island three names ,朝鮮鬱陵島一名竹島一名松島.
His and mofa's recognization is quoted many documents which shows only Ulluengdo(and Jukdo).
See the list here.GTOMRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06881539471132140299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26948035.post-68113557715761535092008-10-02T02:07:00.000+09:002008-10-02T02:07:00.000+09:00On 竹島所属考,there are the discription that "韓人竹島の外別に一...On 竹島所属考,there are the discription that "韓人竹島の外別に一島あるの説を信じ人を遣わし海中を捜索し得す空しく竹島の鰒を拾い還るてありしなり。"
Is there any relation between the text above and 竹島外一島?GTOMRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06881539471132140299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26948035.post-13341033401106488162008-10-02T02:05:00.000+09:002008-10-02T02:05:00.000+09:00This comment has been removed by the author.GTOMRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06881539471132140299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26948035.post-41993370010414517102008-10-01T02:21:00.000+09:002008-10-01T02:21:00.000+09:00Anyone have a original document or full text as f...Anyone have a original document or full text as follows?
a Meiji 14「日本海内松島開墾之儀ニ付伺」by 島根県令境二郎, which wrote "朝鮮国蔚陵島即竹島松島之儀ニ付"
b 外務省記録8324「内務書記官 西村捨三の外務省書記官宛照会」GTOMRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06881539471132140299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26948035.post-7849840527476351522008-05-28T15:08:00.000+09:002008-05-28T15:08:00.000+09:00Thank you, GerryI corrected Kitazawa's name to "Ma...Thank you, Gerry

I corrected Kitazawa's name to "Masanari".

GTOMR,

It was very interesting story.
